John J. Zagari


John was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  His parents immigrated from Italy in the 1950s and had John shortly after their arrival to the United States. After graduating from Montour High School and Waynesburg College, John attended the Duquense University School of Law.

John is a seasoned trial attorney with over 35 years of experience in both Federal and State Court.  During this time John has developed the skills and acquired the resources to resolve cases quickly and efficiently. John has been admitted as an attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, The Western District of Pennsylvania in Federal District Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. 

In his free time, John enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife, 5 children, and 8 grandchildren.

Michael J. Zagari

Michael was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from high school, he pursued a hockey career that took him across the country.

Prior to his admission as an attorney in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Michael graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College at Brockport before going on to earn his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law.  

Michael began getting courtroom experience while he was still in law school. He successfully competed in three National Moot Trial Court Competitions and worked as a certified legal intern for the Allegheny County District Attorney’s office as well as Duquesne’s Urban Development program.

Michael has extensive court room experience having successfully represented clients for everything up to and including homicide offenses in criminal court. Michael's civil court experience is equally diverse and extensive. He has settled multiple seven-figure cases, and has won a six-figure verdict as lead trial counsel in a civil jury trial in Allegheny County.  Michael has helped secure millions of dollars for the firm's clients in personal injury and civil matters, and is a life member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Michael volunteers as a mock-trial coach, is also a member of the Order of the Barristers, the American Association for Justice, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Allen graduated from the University of Scranton where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics.  After working as a consultant in the oil and gas industry for several years, Allen attended Duquesne University School of Law to obtain his law degree.

 

While in law school, Allen served as the executive articles editor of the Duquesne Law Journal and was a research assistant to Professor Ann Schiavone in the legal research and writing department.  Allen is the recipient of the Duquesne University School of Law Raymond F. Sekula Award, having demonstrated a passion for the study of law, diligence, and a desire to serve others and the community.  Additionally, Allen was awarded Order of the Barristers for his achievements in interscholastic moot court.  Notably, Allen was a member on Duquesne’s moot court team which took first place in the 2017 Harold H. Green & Joyce Hens Green National Security Law Moot Court Competition.

 

During law school, Allen interned with the Honorable Marc F. Lovecchio, Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County.  Allen began his civil litigation career with a large law firm in Pittsburgh, before returning to his hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, real property, commercial transactions, estate planning, and municipal law.

 

Allen has extensive courtroom experience where he has represented clients in contract disputes, complex commercial litigation, property disputes, construction litigation, land use, and tax sales.  Allen is also experienced in corporate formation, trademark registration, estate planning, and advising businesses in the succession of ownership to family members.

 

Allen is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in federal court in both the Middle District and Western District of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lycoming Law Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.  Allen also serves on the Board of Directors for the Park Home, Inc.
